Equipment has enhancement slots. An Enchanter draws an essence out of spare equipment, a Blacksmith binds essences into your gear, and the Arcanist sells reagents for rare resistances. Janar and Janus in the Guild HQ can add more slots.

Forging turns equipment and ore of the same level into the next level, with bonus stats from a short minigame. Learn any of the four schools for free from the forge helpers in Demon Square. Each school levels on its own.

Two matching gems can become one gem of the next level. The Gem Rookie in Blython does it for a little gold, with a chance to fail that Imperfect Stardust removes. Higher gems go to the Gem Master, and some become Diamonds at the Gem Converter.

Low gems (+1 to +7) are worth more than they look in the Guild HQ. Mentor Vela turns them into skill experience and Lucretia into pet intimacy, for 1 Service Rate a gem. Big gems (+11 to +13) go to the Gem Jester.

A Magical Crystal gives your pet a resistance. Baia, Koradji and Nexo each offer a different set. Each crystal level works once per pet, up to 9 crystals, and higher levels need a stronger pet. The Pet Merchant in Blython sells the first three.

Your reputation is the number of quests you have completed. It opens world chat at 8 and trading, vending and the market at 15, earns rank titles, and from 30 lowers some service fees. The Enchantress in the Blython Church knows what else it unlocks.

The Scrapmaster on Rayna Island takes gems, ores, materials, enhancements and spare equipment for Material Points, then trades those points for catalysts, reagents, resistance bags and pet eggs.

Shapeshift Potions turn you into a monster for a few hours. Win fights in that form on the right maps and you can find the next potion in its chain, from Tier 1 up to Tier 5. Demanco in Blython sells the starters.

Spare quest rewards such as rumor scrolls, Mystical Fruit and Sigils of Loyalty are worth Quest Points to the Archivist. The Sentinel in the same church trades those points for rare pet eggs and equipment.
